My name is Jami Adams and I am currently teaching fourth grade math, science and Texas history at Venus Elementary. I have been in education for a little over 5 years now. I chose to go in to education after spending 5 years as a transplant nurse in Dallas. After starting a family I decided to change careers to be able to have a better schedule for my children. After finishing college I had the opportunity to start teaching in a permanent substitute position at Lackland Elementary in San Antonio, Texas while my husband was in the Air Force. I spent about a year at Lackland before we transitioned back in to the civilian world. I then got the opportunity to teach 5th grade History and ELA-R for one year before I transitioned in to 2nd grade. I spent two years in 2nd grade at Frost Elementary before coming to Venus. We arrived in Venus because my husband got a wonderful opportunity to come here to coach and teach. My little family consists of my husband, my son who is in fourth grade, and my daughter who is in first grade. We are looking forward to what Venus has to offer our family.
